DECANTER PRESENTS... Juvé & Camps tasting
Freshness, focus and depth: mastering the art of long-aged premium sparkling wines
Founded in 1921, Juvé & Camps is one of the leading producers of quality Spanish sparkling wine, set apart by its long-standing commitment to sustainability and its focus on premium cuvées with extended lees ageing and minimal dosage.
The family-run business, now with 4th generation Meritxell Juvé at the helm, sources its grapes exclusively from estate-owned, organic-certified vineyards. The winemaking approach gives centre stage to terroir and quality of fruit, creating a clean canvas for the wines to develop in bottle, both before and after disgorgement. Having been among the pioneers of long-aged cavas – Gran Reserva was first released in 1972, followed by Reserva de la Familia and La Capella – Juvé & Camps has allowed time to become one of the fundamental tools of its winemaking approach.
This tasting will provide a unique opportunity to explore Juvé & Camps flagship range, understand the evolution of the wines and the interplays between grape varieties, terroir and long lees ageing.
