Decanter Presents Classica Hacienda: London wine tasting

Classica Hacienda López de Haro is our collection of Reserva and Gran Reserva red, white, and rosé wines, produced only in the winery's most exceptional vintages. It pays tribute to the historic figures whose dedication helped establish Rioja as one of the world's leading wine regions.These wines are crafted for extended ageing, with a clear cellaring potential, evolving gracefully and gaining complexity over the years.

During this tasting, you will discover the latest vintages of the collection, together with a vertical tasting of the red and rosé wines, offering a unique opportunity to experience how time enhances the character and complexity of each wine.

Richi is the Founder and CEO of Vintae. Born and raised in Logroño, he completed his business education at ESADE and in the US at UC Berkeley and UT Austin before taking the helm at Vintae in 2008 at just 24 years old. Driven by a deep connection to Spanish soil, he set out to reshape the country's viticultural landscape. Under his leadership, Vintae transformed into one of Spain’s most dynamic wine groups, expanding into over 70 countries with winemaking operations across six key appellations, including Rioja, Ribera del Duero, and Toro.
His focus on terroir, old vineyard preservation, and low-intervention projects – such as Viñedos El Pacto – has earned Vintae consistent acclaim from top international critics, balancing a modern global vision with profound respect for Spanish wine heritage.

Ines is Decanter’s regional editor for Spain, Portugal and South America. Born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal, she grew up chasing her grandfather among his vines in Ribatejo and thus her love for all things wine began. After completing her Masters Degree in Architecture, Ines worked as a project manager while writing about wine and doing cellar consulting on the side. After moving to London nine years ago, she decided to dedicate herself fully to the wine industry and joined the sommelier team at Michelin-starred Spring, Somerset House. Stints at Noble Rot and The Laughing Heart followed, while completing her WSET Diploma in Wines and Spirits.

Her work as a judge and writer eventually became her full time commitment and she joined Decanter in 2019 as wine database editor.
