Seeking freshnenss? A question of vintage or terroir?

Join us for an exclusive Decanter Presents masterclass with celebrated Tuscan producer Castello di Radda – part of the Agricole Gussalli Beretta group.

Overlooking the medieval village of Radda in Chianti, the estate spans 41.2 hectares of certified organic vineyards. Here, the unique freshness of the Radda UGA is harnessed in the winery’s expression of Sangiovese.

We invite you to explore the different facets of Castello di Radda’s winemaking story across two distinct flights. The masterclass commences with current and forthcoming vintages of Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, and Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Radda Vigna il Corno, including exclusive previews of unreleased wines.

This tasting will showcase exclusive previews of unreleased vintages across Chianti Classico, Riserva and Gran Selezione Radda Vigna il Corno to a five-vintage vertical exploring climate impact, including the contrasting cool 2014 and warm 2015 vintages. Experience first-hand how the cool microclimate of the high-altitude Radda UGA produces Sangiovese with superb freshness, elegance and longevity.

DANIELE GAIA

Export sales manager, Agricole Gussalli Beretta group
Born and raised in Roero, where he still lives today, Daniele graduated from Oenological School in Alba in 2004, embarking on his career as an oenologist at the Oddero Winery in La Morra. It was while working there that he was able to gain an increasingly in-depth knowledge of the main additional geographic mentions (MGA) of the Langhe. In 2009, he moved to Elvio Cogno, where he worked in both a technical role and for the estate’s sales and communication department. The transfer to Réva, in Monforte d’Alba, where he held the role of director, came in 2016. Fuelled by the desire to express his commercial vision to the full and take his passion for wine beyond Piedmont, in 2023 he joined the Agricole Gussalli Beretta group as export sales manager, holding responsibility for the seven Italian estates owned by the Gussalli Beretta family.
