DWWA 2022 result: Gold, 96 points

Tasting note: Youthful baked plum, coffee bean and spice nose. Nicely structured in the mouth with the fruit showing well alongside the exuberant acidity and tannins typical of a developing vintage port. Big, ripe and opulent with pretty plummy fruit and firm ripe tannins leading to an explosive finish. Its future is gold-plated.

Buyers’ feedback: While Port is difficult to sell in the UK market and this wine is expensive, the Port is beautiful and will find its niche among true wine connoisseurs.
